Simultaneous interpreting involves teams of interpreters (a minimum of two per team) working from soundproof booths.
A microphone and headset system is used to interpret from the source language into the target language without interruption. The number of interpreters provided will depend on the complexity of the subject matter and on the duration of the meeting. This arrangement is recommended for large, multi-language events where speakers are working to a tight time schedule.
